Today I sent home a copy of the spelling words to Teams Orange and Red. Please check your home reading bags so you can review them at home.
In Social Studies today, Josh and Logan from Ms. Mosolf's class come and taught us about the Acadians coming over from France to trade with the Mi'kmaq people about 400 years ago. These two experts taught us about how they traded tools, clothing and skills between these groups and became friends until the English people sailed over and got greedy! Then shipped the Acadians and Mi'kmaqs to Louisiana- creating the Cajuns. The First Nations taught people to live off the land until the land was stolen- its seems like an all too familiar story. It is quite interesting to learn about all these groups together and will explore these stories more in the week until Christmas. We also played soccer outside today even though it was a bit windy, but the gym is being used for the Spanish Winter concert. We are going to watch the Dress Rehearsal tomorrow morning. We are looking forward to seeing some of our friends in other classes perform. Stay healthy and have good night!
