Starting today our school will be undertaking a project called, “Stephen’s Backpack”. Stephen’s Backpack Project is about giving the gift of hope. Stephen is a little boy with Autism who wanted to help all the homeless children of Calgary. He created a project where he, with the help of others, would fill backpacks with essentials and toys for children living on the street. His wish is to give children the gift of hope and Student Voice is going to help lead this project.
From November 7, 2017-November 17, 2017 we are asking families to bring gently used toys and books to donate to a Toy Sale. This toy sale will provide the funds to purchase the items for the backpacks. We will store all these items in the school until the sale. On November 21, we will have an all-day Toy Sale. This is where all students, during their gym time will have a chance to go shopping. Items will vary in price (up to $10.00), and all the money will go toward filling the backpacks. Thank you for your support. Student Voice
