Today was a wonderful day filled with 'kindness' activities in support of anti-bullying. The students had Big Buddies and made paper chains with words and actions that are kind, helpful and encouraging. They made them for the whole school to see how they can be kind too. They would love for you to see it tomorrow and Friday when you are here.
We also made cards for community members and decorated pink shirts! Very pink day! Ray Suarez would like you to read this update about sliding at our school: As a result of injuries (head, hands, arms, etc.), and the fact that we are unable to provide a dedicatedsupervisor for our icy hills, we have asked students to continue to enjoy the playground and other areas that are safe. Our supervisors are required to walk around their designated areas, monitor and interact with students to support their safety and any challenges that they may encounter. This request is in effect during school time and includes before and after school supervision times. Although we understand that many students can be safe and have fun, grave injuries can occur as a result of this activity. We thank you for your support and understanding to have a safe environment for all. We are sure that the children will have great fun under the supervision of parents/guardian/family etc. outside of school hours where the ratio is much lower. Thank you, everyone!
