Sorry I got yesterday's day wrong, but I am glad everyone realized I meant Thursday was yesterday and that picture day was today!!
Today was a super fun Friday. We learned more about the ocean through puzzles and a bingo game. We are looking at sea creatures and other living things in the ocean, in hopes of understanding how we all rely on the water and how important the ocean is to all living things. Next week, we will be looking more at the coasts of Canada, the Pacific and Atlantic, to see the differences in Canadian lifestyles in the interior and on the ocean. Feel free to start the conversations about coastlines at home or look at videos together. This week we have been having a few issues with having gentle hands ALL the time, Recess can be a hard place to always have self-control of our bodies and hands, but it is extremely important that we do so. I ask that you have conversation at home, just to make sure we all know and remember how to use our hands to treat ourselves and others nicely. This week there have just been a few MINOR times where some students have forgotten how to use their hands, but if we can be more aware of it, I am positive we will have no more accidents! Thanks! Have a great weekend, and enjoy the weather while we can:) Also here is a note from the CBE: Dear parents, As our teaching and learning strategies evolve to include even more digital resources, the Calgary Board of Education’s wireless infrastructure has become even more important. New technology is needed to address current and forecasted demands for a comprehensive, reliable wireless network. The CBE is thus embarking on a plan to replace wireless infrastructure in every school and facility. Rosscarrock will now be a part of the new strategy. The new wireless platform will be launched on October 5, 2017. Once the new infrastructure is launched, it will provide: § Significantly improved capacity; § Annual (once per year) registration of personally owned devices, eliminating the need for daily logging in / out;
Visit the CBE Wireless page to learn more about the project and how to connect to the Wi-Fi network. Thank you for your support.
